SCREEN Festival is a collaborative city festival dedicated to the moving image, conceived as meeting for artists, curators, professionals and the audience. The event highlights the artists’ works and the institutions/venues through exhibitions, screenings, performances and debates.
SCREEN Festival was conceived in 2003 to offer a unique viewing experience together with LOOP Fair, the professional meeting point for commercial galleries related to artists’ video and film.
SCREEN Festival is a city project that takes place in many different venues around the city. It seeks to stimulate a network between non-profit institutions, curators, producers, artists, distributors, galleries, cultural centers and universities, both local and international. The festival works by inviting and by putting all these agents, artists and spaces in contact. This modus operandi translates the will of SCREEN Festival to serve as a catalyst for synergies and to stimulate new projects.
